Garden Room with Garage

We were invited to discuss replacing an old timber garage with something far more usable for the whole family. The challenge? An old brick-built store was creating a tight bottleneck to the rear garden, preventing their camper van from getting through, and a large portion of the garden was left unused - a real wasted opportunity.

At this stage, we introduced our client to our landscape partners as there was no question this mammoth task needed a dual-pronged attack to achieve the end goal! We presented a combined project plan for the transformation, and the job began! 

The landscapers started with the major demolition and excavation, creating a substantial gabion wall to retain the garden, form a parking area, and level the ground for the new garden room. We then constructed the room with an integrated store, replacing the old garage and delivering a beautiful home office/sitting room, along with a generous garage to accommodate the family’s bikes, boats, scooters and gardening equipment.

The final touch to the project was a bespoke wood store, positioned alongside the room in front of the newly built gabion walls. Its shape was a little unconventional, but we love a challenge - and we embraced it fully! Clad in matching timber, this isn’t just any wood store; it’s a stylish, high-end addition that perfectly complements the overall design.

Doors were installed to ensure the store stays completely dry!
