Garden Room with store and custom Pergola
Our client needed extra space for a variety of reasons! Working from home had become difficult because of limited room, and with teenagers wanting their own space to relax with friends, things were feeling a bit crowded. Clearing the site also meant the existing garden shed had to go, so new storage was a must. And last but not least, a dedicated spot for a hammock was top of the wishlist! But, it had to be weatherproof, as let's be honest, sunshine is not that common in Edinburgh!!
We collaborated closely with the client to develop a design that met everyone’s needs, and the final plan ticked all the boxes for all ages!
Internally, the room is divided into an office and living space, just as planned. The hidden store provides the ideal spot for garden tools and equipment that once lived in the old shed, while the hammock now hangs perfectly beneath the custom-built pergola.
The room is clad throughout in Thermowood, super insulated and accessed via UPVC double glazing, so will be perfect all year round!
From the start, they were fantastic — I felt no need to consult other companies because they really got what we wanted. The entire project was stress-free; the only thing I had to remember was to buy some decent biscuits for the team!
